If you're experiencing issues with an older version of Overwolf, you may need to update your installation to the latest version. Here's how to use the setup installer to update your Overwolf installation.
Step 1: Close your Overwolf client
If you have your Overwolf client running in the background please close it from the Windows tray bar first.
Step 2: Download the setup installer
The setup installer is available to download here, download the setup installer to your computer.
Step 3: Extract the setup installer
The setup installer comes in a zipped file. Use a program like WinZip, WinRAR, or 7-Zip to extract the files from the zipped file.
Step 4: Run the setup installer
Once you've extracted the setup installer, double-click on the setup.exe file to start the installation process, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
*Note - Installing the setup install will only override your Overwolf installed version and will not delete or reinstall Overwolf completely.
Step 5: Launch Overwolf
After the installation is complete, launch Overwolf from your desktop or start the menu. You should now have the latest version of Overwolf installed.
