No. This is optional. Your username is only used to retrieve data from the HiScores and RuneMetrics.
How is my data retrieved?
Skill data is retrieved from the RuneScape HiScores. Quest data is retrieved from RuneScape RuneMetrics.
My quest data is not showing up.
Your RuneMetrics profile must be set to “Public”.
My skill data is not showing up.
Free-to-play accounts do not have their skills in the HiScores. Skills must be above the minimum skill level requirement for the HiScores.
