Subscription Basics

Subscribing to an Overwolf app is a great way to:

  • Support the creators you appreciate

  • Help apps grow and unlock new features

  • Access premium tools and quality-of-life perks

  • Remove ads instantly, since ads are the default revenue source for creators

Many apps are also rolling out subscriber-only features, which will be announced by their creators over time.

 

Subscribing Made Easy

  1. Open Overwolf and log in to your account.

  2. Visit the App Page of the app you want to subscribe to.

  3. Click Subscribe at the top of the page (Install the app first if you haven’t already.)

  4. Select your preferred payment option.

  5. Enjoy 30 days of premium features!

Subscriptions renew automatically every 30 days.
You can manage or cancel your plan anytime from your Overwolf Subscription Settings.
If you cancel, the app will return to its free version after your current cycle ends.


After subscribing you will receive two email messages: 

  • One from Xsolla (mailer@xsolla.com) with your receipt every 30 days 
  • One from Overwolf (team@overwolf.com) with your order information every 30 days as well

How can I subscribe to an app? ▾

Once you install an app from the Appstore, a Subscribe button appears next to the Launch button.
If you don’t see it, the app doesn’t offer a subscription yet. 


Can I subscribe using my credit card? ▾

Yes! Overwolf subscriptions use Xsolla, which supports 700+ global payment methods.


Where can I view my subscriptions? ▾

Go to Settings → Subscriptions in Overwolf.


What is Xsolla? ▾

Xsolla is Overwolf’s payment provider, offering extensive payment options, localization, and strong security.


When is my next payment? ▾

Every 30 days from the date of your initial subscription. You can view the exact date on the Subscription tab in the Overwolf app.


I can't see my subscriptions? ▾

Make sure you’re logged in.

I subscribed to an app/mod creator on Patreon, is this the same? ▾

No. Patreon subscriptions are not connected to Overwolf subscriptions.


I subscribed to an external app, is this the same? ▾

No. External subscriptions do not unlock Overwolf subscription perks.

Some apps and app creators have external websites or desktop apps which do not run on Overwolf, and are not part of our platform.


How can I unsubscribe? ▾

Go to Settings → Subscriptions and click Unsubscribe.
You’ll keep premium access until your current 30-day cycle ends.

Can I use my subscription on multiple devices? ▾

Yes! Your subscription is tied to your Overwolf account, not your PC.
Avoid sharing your account, it may trigger security flags. 


Will paying a subscription remove ads from all Overwolf apps? ▾

No. A subscription supports one specific app and unlocks benefits for that app only.
