Solving Audio Glitches

Melodrive Play composes and synthesises the music on-the-fly right on your machine, so sometimes you might hear a few audio glitches - especially if you're playing an intense game and changing the emotion. We're constantly improving the performance of Melodrive Play to work on a wide range of machines, but if you do experience audio glitches, here are a few tricks you can use to try to improve matters:

  1. If you're on a laptop, make sure your power cable is plugged in and that you're on "high performance" power mode. Find out how to do that here.
  2. Change your sound device's "Advanced" properties to use 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality) rather than the default 24 bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality). Find out how to do that here.
  3. Try a range of Melodrive Play styles as some are more performance hungry than others. "Electro House" requires a more beefy machine than, "Dreamy Piano", for instance.
