Twitch streaming with Razer Kraken & ManO’ War 7.1 Headest Compatibility Issues

Users streaming with the Overwolf Twitch app and using the Razer Kraken 7.1 or ManO' War headset will encounter a “No_Playback_Device” error. This issue occurs due to a coexistence issue between one of Razer's processes and Overwolf.

To stream with both Overwolf and these headsets, please use one of these workarounds:

 1. Closing the Razer process

Razer Kraken 7.1:

  1. Open up the Task Manager – press Ctrl+Shift+Escape or Control Alt + Delete and select Task Manager
  2. Look for the process called "kraken71chromahelper \ kraken APO helper"
  3. Select this process
  4. Right click on the name and select "End process"

Razer ManO' War 7.1:

  1. Open up the Task Manager – press Ctrl+Shift+Escape or Control Alt + Delete and select Task Manager
  2. Look for the process called "Razer ManOWar71 APO Helper"
  3. Select this process
  4. Right click on the name and select "End process"

2. Running Overwolf as admin

  1. Right click on Overwolf launcher icon
  2. Click on "Run as administrator"
  3. Start recording

NOTE – Running Overwolf as admin might make it so Overwolf won't detect some of your games, please take this into consideration! If you can't see the Overwolf dock in a supported game after running Overwolf as admin, close Overwolf and start it normally. This workaround is temporary and will need to be repeated every time you restart your computer if you wish to stream with these headsets.
NOTE 2 – Closing the Razer process may affect the performance of your headset, however in our testing we haven't encountered any issues of the sort.
